Gingerbread

Ingredients

 

  • 1/2 Cup clear honey
  • 1 lb bread, at least 4 days old, ground into fine crumbs
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1/8 tsp pepper 

Instructions

 

 

  • Bring honey to a boil.
  • Skim off any scum.
  • Stir in bread crumbs and spices.
  • When mixed, press into well greased cake pan.
  • Cover and leave for at least several hours or overnight.
  • Cut into small pieces to serve.
